Guilty plea in NJ multiple personality killings

JERSEY CITY, N.J. — A New Jersey man has pleaded guilty to killing three family members, but tells a judge one of his multiple personalities committed the crimes.

Forty-three-year-old Dwayne Wilson of Jersey City pleaded guilty Monday to three counts of aggravated manslaughter and one count of aggravated assault.

The Jersey Journal of Jersey City reported that Wilson told the court he watched as a homicidal personality called “Kiko” killed his sister, niece and nephew and wounded another nephew at their Jersey City home in 2005.

A judge had rejected defense arguments that Wilson shouldn’t be held responsible for the crimes due to his dissociative identity disorder. Wilson is to be sentenced in November. He faces a possible 30-year sentence for manslaughter and 10 years for assault.
