FORT BLISS (Gaea Times.com)- A shopping store in Fort Bliss witnessed some action when a man went on a shooting spree resulting in the death of one and leaving two others wounded. Fort Bliss is located near the El Paso in Texas on the Mexican border. The incident which appeared to be a murder or suicide in the beginning now appears to be something else. According to sources, a person started shooting two females all of a sudden and when the law enforcement personnels arrived he started to flee. The law enforcement personnel shot him dead. Things are still murky as the identity of the attacker is still anonymous. The connection between him and those two females on whom he opened fire is also not clear. They victims of the Fort Bliss shooting were possibly civilians but nothing much has been confirmed or disclosed yet.

The Fort Bliss shooting took place on September 20 at somewhere about 3 pm. The Cassidy’s Shopette, the shop where shooting occurred is located at 1333 Cassidy road. Apart from the dead assailant and two injured victims no one else was harmed as per the reports. The residents at the base were alerted through an emergency response e- mail system.

The Fort Bliss shooting as it is being called is being investigated by the FBI. The victims may not have survived if the law enforcement personnels had not arrived on time. Reports confirm that he arrived on the scene of disturbance in three to four minutes. Fort bliss is a military base under the first armored division of the US army, the same place which President Barack Obama had visited last month to meet the troops and announce the end of the Iraq combat.
