Zimbabwe arrests 4 US doctors over licensing
HARARE, Zimbabwe — A Zimbabwean lawyer says police have arrested four American doctors working in the capital.
Lawyer Jonathan Samukange said Saturday that the four Americans were arrested late Friday along with two Zimbabwean doctors.
Samukange says the doctors are accused of running a pharmacy without proper licenses. But he says they have the right licenses and were only supervising a pharmacy that mainly gave out AIDS medications. He says they have not been formally charged but are expected to appear in court on Monday.
He says they are working for a church-related aid group but did not specify which one.
