Discovery Communications Gunman Drama Details Unveiled

MARYLAND (GaeaTimes.com)- The details of the gunman, who held three men hostage inside the Discovery communications headquarters in Maryland and was subsequently shot down by the cops, are emerging. He used to have hatred towards the programs of the network as he thought that these programs promote population growth and also endorse environmental destruction. As per the reports the three hostages, 2 of whom are employees of the network and a security guard were not hurt. The hostage drama lasted for almost 4 hours and the cops put an end to it by shooting the gunman, James J. Lee. He had a grudge against the network and this was not his first attempt at targeting Discovery. Two years back he demanded that the network should stop airing some of its programs.

He had made a demand that Discovery Communications should commence programs that endorse infertility and human sterilization. He said in his manifesto online that humans pollute the atmosphere the most with their filthy habits. He also lashed out at the network’s program titled “Planet Green” and remarked it was less about solution and aimed at making money. The network officials expressed relief at the hostages escaping unaffected after the fiasco.

The man who created the ruckus at the Discovery Communication headquarters in Maryland earlier used to live in Pugget Sound area, as the initial investigation has revealed. Later he shifted base to Southern California. The employees of Discovery ran for their safety when they came to know about the incident. The cops had a tough time trying to convince the man to release the hostages and ultimately they had to shoot him.
