Edgar Valdez’s Name Comes Up

MEXICO CITY (GaeaTimes.com)- In what appeared to be one of the gruesome outcomes of the drug war in Mexico, four mutilated and decapitated bodies were found hanging from a bridge near Mexico City. The outrageous crime bears evidence that the drug related war in Mexico has gone far beyond the control of the authorities. The mutilated and headless bodies were found near Cuernavaca which is a wealthy area in Mexico City and many of the houses in the area are owned by the nations elites. The victims index fingers and genitals were cut off as well and placed nearby the hanging bodies along with the heads. The authorities also found a handmade sign with the remaining body parts that said that everyone who helps Edgar Valdez will meet the same fate.

The message that was signed by ‘CPS’ which stands for the South Pacific Cartel, a relatively new but rapidly growing drug cartel in the area. Edgar Valdez is an US born drug dealer who is vying for the position of the new Mexican drug lord, according to the reports. Edgar Valdez is also known as Barbie for his blond hair and very few details have emerged in the media about him. The authorities confirmed that the men had been kidnapped days before their bodies were found and one of the men’s families had also reported the abduction to the police.

Edgar Valdez is presently pitted against Hector Beltran Levya for the control of the infamous Beltran Levya drug cartel. Reports suggest that Edgar Valdez is one of the biggest contenders for becoming the head of the gang. The cartel is also involved in other industries like transportation, electronics and even health products.
