Dallas police chase suspect faces several charges
DALLAS — Authorities say the man who led police on an hour-long car chase that ended beside a Dallas airport runway is facing charges including evading arrest, criminal mischief and aggravated robbery.
Dallas police Sr. Cpl. Kevin Janse (JAN’-see) says 46-year-old Michael Laurence Browne was also charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Janse said Browne remained in jail on Friday on $300,000 bond.
A Dallas County sheriff’s spokeswoman said an attorney was not yet listed for Browne.
U.S. Attorney’s Office spokeswoman Kathy Colvin says it’s too early to say if Browne will face federal charges as well.
Police say the truck Browne used to lead police on the chase that ended at Dallas Love Field on Thursday was stolen in a carjacking.
