DEWEY (GaeaTimes.com)- On Wednesday, Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office announced the tragic death of two-year-old Emmett Trapp who went missing from his Dewey, Arizona home on Monday night. The body of Emmett Trapp was found at a place about one mile from his residence that was formerly used to collect waste products from Iron King Mine. The body was found lying in a muddy pit at around 11:30 am by search and rescue officials. As for the cause of the death of Emmett Trapp, the police reportedly said that it appears the two-year-old was not able to sustain the Arizona elements to which he was exposed to more than 24 hours. However, an autopsy was scheduled to be performed later on Wednesday.

After the discovery of the dead body of Emmett Trapp, sheriff’s spokesman Dwight D’Evelyn said to media sources that the department was extremely sad about the loss of the life of the little boy. The police also blocked the area from where the body of the toddler was found and is treating it as a “crime scene” to find out whether there is any foul play or not. The sheriff maintained that it was following the “common protocol” that the site has been marked as “crime scene”. Sgt. Jeff Newnum, however, added that there was “no foul play at Emmett’s body that would suggest something was awry”.

Sheriff’s spokesman Dwight D’Evelyn mentioned to media source that the case of disappearance and death of Emmett Trapp is in no way related to the disappearance of two-year-old Sylar Newton, who went missing on July 25. Emmett Trapp was reported missing by his mother on Monday night.
