Andrew Lawrence Pleads Guilty To Murder

GRESHAM (GaeaTimes.com)- Ramond Andrew Lawrence, a 19 year old boy from Gresham was subjected to ten years in prison after he pleaded guilty in court of having killed another man whom he supposedly holds responsible for the murder of a close friend of his. The case against Ramond Andrew Lawrence has been in court since the month of December in the year 2008. It was two years back that the teenager was first charged with the murder of Willy Lewis Butler.

According to reports submitted by deputy district attorney Patrick Callahan, it was a gun shot fired by Ramond Andrew Lawrence that had killed 18 year old Willy Lewis Butler on December 31st in 2008. The gunshot hit the victim on his back and proved fatal, taking away his life in an alley of Gresham. The local police authorities who had been in charge of the case two years back are of the opinion that Willy Lewis Butler had killed a very close friend of Ramond Andrew Lawrence with the same gun and this was his way to get back at his friend’s killer. The only evidence though leading the police to this direction was a gun that was found in the pockets of Willy Lewis Butler, with which he apparently killed the friend.

Ramond Andrew Lawrence was only 17 years of age when the incident took place. It has been reported that the defense counsel for the victim was supposed to move court next month citing that their client had fired the shot in order to defend himself from the killer of his friend who also wanted to kill him. It has been reported that all the three teenagers were in some way associated with local goon gangs.
