3 officers shot, wounded in suburban Phoenix

PHOENIX — Authorities say three police officers have been shot and wounded during an undercover operation in suburban Phoenix.

Investigators say they’re searching for a gunman who fled the scene Wednesday evening.

Few details have been released, but video from television news helicopters showed the three Chandler police officers being taken out of a home on stretchers and transported to Phoenix hospitals.

Their conditions weren’t immediately available.
