Police search for gunman in Albuquerque shooting

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Police say they searching for a gunman who shot multiple people at an Albuquerque solar and fiber optics manufacturer.

Authorities released few details of the shootings on the campus of Emcore Corp. There was no immediate word on how many people were shot or what their conditions might be.

Police say they were cordoning off the area around the campus as they searched for at least one gunman.

Some nearby businesses have been put on lockdown and police are warning residents who live in the area to stay inside their homes. Police closed roads around Emcore, which is near Sandia National Laboratories on the city’s southeast side.
