Bosnian police arrest 2 suspects in fatal blast
SARAJEVO, Bosnia-Herzegovina — Bosnian authorities say two suspects have been arrested in connection with an explosion at a police station that left one officer dead and five injured.
Local media are reporting that the primary suspect appears to be an Islamic fundamentalist, fanatic rock fan and Che Guevara admirer.
The blast early Sunday in the central Bosnian town of Bugoijno, 47 miles (75 kilometers) southwest of Sarajevo, was the first time Bosnians had been confronted with such an open act of terrorism.
Boris Grubesic, the spokesman for the State Prosecutor’s office, said Monday that police and judicial agencies are considering further steps to fight terrorism and organized crime. He said police are searching for more suspects.
