MUMBAI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Kurla’s Nehru Nagar at the outskirts of Mumbai city is swarmed with officers of Mumbai Police who are following a trail of a serial killer. Reportedly, Mumbai Police discovered the body of a nine year old child in the nearby slum who happens to be the third target of the killer. Forensic reports have concluded that the child was raped and then put to death by the killer. As a matter of fact, the Nehru Nagar slum area has been the target of the killer for months since the first killing was cited way back in the month of February.

Mumbai Police officials have already deployed 27 police teams who are hunting for the serial killer in the area. Moreover, Mumbai Police have also installed close circuit televisions in the nearby roads and a police patrol van has been stationed near the schools. The officials of Mumbai Police have also asked the children to avoid speaking to any strangers who approaches them in their way to school or while they head back home.

Sanjiv Dayal who happens to be the Commissioner of Mumbai Police told the media that the killing of nine year old Nusrat Sheikh has strengthened the fact that the children are the primary target of the psychopath who is said to be a young man of 23-25 years of age. The Mumbai Police officers have also interrogated the local key makers as they believe that the killer used a duplicate key to enter the hut and meant to kill the girl. The local residents told the media that they are very worried about their children especially their girls who sometimes go out in the streets to play with their friends.
