ALGIERS, ALGERIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Algeria witnessed a total of nine deaths as a suicide bomber bombed a truck inside the Algerian police barracks in Algiers. Reportedly, the suicide bombing is the latest addition to the ongoing violence to which Algeria has been a witness for quite some months now.
The suicide bombing took place in the Timizar town of the Kabylia region which is located at a distance of kilometers from the capital city of Algeria along the vast stretches of the Mediterranean coast. The Algerian police reported that media that the suicide bombing has killed one Chinese worker and four police officers. All the police officers who were killed in the bombing formed a part of the rapid action force of the Algeria Police Department. The suicide bomber himself died of the explosion as he planted the explosives in the truck. The Algerian police shot two other suspected terrorists who were following the truck in a separate vehicle. The encounter also took the life of a civilian.
It all started in Algeria way back in the year of 2009, where Kabylia region became the target point of all terrorist groups. It was said that the Islamic group have joined hands with the Al-Qaeda who is suspected to be the one behind the bombing incidents in Algeria. Algeria transformed itself into a major conflict zone with the 1992 multi-party elections which was called off by the country. Since then the major Islamic armed groups have joined in hands with one another to terrorize the people of Algeria and overthrow the existing government of Algeria by force and gain complete power upon the state.
