Mo. father gets life sentence for incest, murder

HARRISONVILLE, Mo. — A 49-year-old Missouri man who fathered four children with one of his daughters has been sentenced to spend the rest of his life in prison.

The Associated Press is not identifying the man to protect the identity of his daughter.

Cass County Circuit Court Judge Jacqueline Cook sentenced him Monday to life in prison for a second-degree murder charge and another 22 years in prison for various other charges, including rape and incest.

The murder charge stemmed from the death of one of the children who died after not receiving medical attention after falling ill. One of the children was stillborn and another died after falling off a couch.

The defendant’s daughter testified at trial that he first had sex with her when she was 5 years old.
