MIDDLETOWN, NEW YORK (GaeaTimes.com)- Police authorities have confirmed that the skeletal remains that were found in Pennsylvania earlier this month are those of Laura Garza, who disappeared about a year ago after she was seen leaving a Manhattan night club with a sex offender. Certain human remains were discovered by authorities on April 11 at a former mining area in Mount Cobb, Pa. and tests were conducted later to ascertain the identity of the victim. Following the DNA tests, the cops have reached the conclusion that the skeletal remains are indeed that of 25 year old Laura Garza.

Police authorities have further revealed that the skeletal remains of Laura Garza would be examined by Dr. Michael Baden, a renowned forensic pathologist who has also worked with the New York City police as the chief medical examiner. Although it has been validated that the human remains are that of the 25 year old woman, investigation is still going on to know the cause of her unfortunate death. It has been reported that New York as well as the Pennsylvania state police searched a remote area in northeast Pennsylvania in order to look for all the possible clues that might shed any light into the unsolved case.

Laura Garza was an aspiring dancer who had shifted to Brooklyn in the month of June, 2008 with the dream of making it big as a dancer. However, the 25 year old woman vanished just six months later after she was seen exiting a nightclub with Michael Mele, who is known to be a registered sex offender. Meanwhile, with Laura Garza’s skeletal remains found, authorities are hoping that they would be able to nab the culprit in the due course of time.
