Pregnant woman charged with stabbing 3 in RI
PROVIDENCE, R.I. — A Boston woman who’s eight months pregnant is accused of stabbing three people in Providence, R.I.
Police say 35-year-old Nicole Bruton got into a fight Wednesday with 37-year-old Monique Bailey and Bailey’s two teenage daughters. It’s not clear what triggered the dispute.
All three were taken to hospitals with stab wounds that were not considered life-threatening.
Police say Bruton fled in an SUV but was later arrested. She was arraigned Thursday on three counts of assault, released on bail and ordered to have no contact with the Bailey family.
A phone number for her could not be located. Her attorney said in court that Bruton is the mother of three and works at a Boston hospital.
