New Hampshire teenager fends off would-be robbers after one hurls piggy bank at him

Would-be NH robbers use green piggy bank as weapon

MANCHESTER, N.H. — New Hampshire police say a pair of would-be robbers used a piggy bank to attack a 17-year-old boy in a supermarket parking lot.

The teenager had just converted some change into dollars at a supermarket machine Wednesday night in Manchester when one of the men appeared at his car window and asked for a dollar.

Police say the suspect opened the door and hurled the green piggy bank at the teen. It him in the face and caused his nose to bleed.

Police say that the men tried to go through the teen’s pockets but that he was able to fight them off. The men took off in a sport-utility vehicle.
