DA to announce decision in Roethlisberger case
MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. — A district attorney in central Georgia will announce if he plans to file charges in a case of sexual assault claims against Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.
District Attorney Fred Bright says he’s reviewed the investigation reports and will hold a news conference Monday to announce his decision.
Milledgeville police Chief Woodrow Blue said last week that his department and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation have wrapped up their investigation into a college student’s claim that Roethlisberger sexually assaulted her at a club.
It’s the second time in a year Roethlisberger has been accused of sexual misconduct. He also faces a lawsuit filed by a woman who says he raped her in 2008 at a Lake Tahoe hotel and casino, an allegation he denies.
