Two farmers were killed in a late night raid by the Maoist guerrillas at a remote village in Bihar, police said today.
Police said hundreds of Maoists raided Kenar-Khurd village in Bihar’s Rohtas district around midnight on Thursday and shot dead two farmers, identified as father and son.
Maoists also blasted two houses by using dynamites before retreating.
“We are rushing forces soon”, the local district superintendent of police, Rohtas, Vikas Vaibhav said.
An official report said 33 out of total 38 districts of Bihar are badly infested with Maoist activities.
Last year, the Maoists killed 29 civilians and 25 cops.
