Police: Suspect in FIU stabbing taunted victim
MIAMI — The man suspected of stabbing an FIU football player taunted the wounded running back after the fatal confrontation outside the school’s recreation center.
That’s according to an arrest warrant affidavit, which says witnesses reported seeing Quentin Rashad Wyche say “that’s what he gets” and “I told y’all” while 22-year-old Kendall Berry lay bleeding on the ground Thursday.
Wyche fled the scene but turned himself in to police Friday. He has been charged with second-degree murder.
The documents say the player was stabbed after he and Wyche fought over Berry’s girlfriend.
A memorial service for Berry was held Monday.
