Mainer gets 10 years in fatal sex game shooting
PORTLAND, Maine — A Maine man who shot his friend in the head during a drug-fueled sex party in a “dungeon” has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.
Bruce Davidson, who was convicted of manslaughter, accepted responsibility at his sentencing Friday and apologized to the family of the Fred Wilson.
Both the defense and prosecutors agree that there was no intention to kill, but prosecutors contend Davidson was responsible for ensuring a revolver was not loaded before putting it to Wilson’s head.
Wilson died in the basement of his South Portland home from a single gunshot wound to the head on April 18, 2009.
Davidson was convicted of manslaughter in January. He used to be known as Bruce Lavallee-Davidson.
