Family names slain US consular employee in Mexico
CIUDAD JUAREZ, Mexico — A relative has identified a U.S. consulate employee and her husband who were killed in a drug-plagued Mexican border city.
Robert Cason says consular employee Lesley A. Enriquez and her husband Arthur H. Redelf of El Paso, Texas, were killed in Ciudad Juarez. Cason is Redelf’s stepfather.
A Chihuahua state prosecutors’ spokesman says the couple was shot to death their car near the Santa Fe International bridge linking Ciudad Juarez to El Paso.
Their 1-year-old baby was found unharmed in the back seat.
The White House says the husband of a Mexican consular employee was also killed Saturday in Ciudad Juarez, apparently in a separate shooting.
The officials and Redelf spoke Sunday.

A Chihuahua state prosecutors’ spokesman says a couple was shot to death in their car near the Santa Fe International bridge in Ciudad Juarez. A baby was found unharmed in the back seat.
Tuexi says the woman had a credential identifying her as a consulate employee. The man had a document identifying him as a U.S. citizen.
Tuexi said Sunday that nobody has claimed the bodies killed Saturday. The baby is in the custody of Mexican social services.
The White House says that an American consulate employee and her U.S. citizen husband were killed. The White House says the husband of a Mexican citizen employee was also killed.
