Singapore bolsters security after terrorist threat
SINGAPORE — Singapore says it is bolstering security after receiving information of a plot by terrorists to attack ships off the coast of the city-state.
Home Affairs Minister Wong Kan Seng told Parliament on Friday that the government is increasing security at land checkpoints, on the sea and at high-risk targets such as two new casino-resorts.
Wong did not say which terrorist group was planning the reported attack.
