Pentagon Shooting Suspect Dead

WASHINGTON (GaeaTimes.com)- According to reports John Patrick Bedell, the suspect of the Pentagon subway station shooting which took place on Thursday has died. The 36-year-old had opened fire at two police officers who suffered bullet injuries. Both the injured police officers are however not in a critical condition.

The revelation has been made by D.C Medical Examiner’s Office’s chief of staff, Beverly Fields. He has revealed that the alleged shooter was brought to the Medical Examiner’s Office around midnight where he was declared dead. Earlier one of the officials at the subway station has declared that the condition of John Patrick Bedell was critical.

The massacre took place at the Pentagon Metro station subway. The alleged shooter who was carrying the fire weapon advanced towards the subway entrance and open fired at two police officers. According to reports commuters at the station heard the gun shots and were panic stricken. John Patrick Bedell however could not escape the crime scene and was gunned down by the police. According to reports all entrances leading towards Pentagon have been opened now except for the Pentagon Metro entrance which is still closed.

As of now, police is investigating the shoot out and trying to find out the cause of the Pentagon shooting. Police is still clueless about the sudden attack. A possible involvement of a second person is also being investigated by the police. Some sources claim that the Pentagon shooting was carried out by the gunman out of his hatred for the military. However, with the death of the suspect the mystery will continue.
