Meghalaya policeman commits suicide in Delhi

NEW DELHI - A 32-year-old constable of the Meghalaya police posted in the national capital allegedly committed suicide Wednesday by hanging himself for unknown reasons, police said.

Kurson Sangma’s body was found hanging behind the mess of his battalion in Vikaspuri area of west Delhi arodund 6.50 a.m. He was last seen alive at 11.30 p.m. Tuesday, a police official said.

The police said no suicide note was recovered from him.

The police said his brother, who is also with the Meghalaya police, has come to Delhi and a probe is being carried out.
