Alleging harassment, woman ends life

NEW DELHI - A 35-year-old woman working for the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) here committed suicide alleging harassment by a male colleague, police said Friday.
The upper division clerk with CBI’s Special Investigation Team, identified only as Sarita, was found dead at her Hari Nagar residence in west Delhi Thursday night.
“We got a call from her in-laws that she was not opening the door of her room. When we broke open the door, we found her dead,” a police officer said.
Police recovered a suicide note accusing her colleague, B.P. Sharma, of harassing her for money. “We are interrogating Sharma,” the officer said.
The woman’s husband is an engineer and was not at home when she died, police said.
