Anna Chapman Accused of Being Russian Spy

New York (GaeaTimes.com) Anna Chapman, a 28 year old divorcee and New York socialite, is picked up by the US Department of Justice on the charges of Russian Spying. She is suspected of giving information to the Russian government every Wednesday since January 2010. She reportedly founded an online real estate company and had an apartment in the Financial District. She was picked up during an 11 person roundup on Monday, June 28, 2010.

According to the documents filed in Federal District Court Anna Chapman,

unlawfully, willfully and knowingly, would and did act in the United States as [one of the] agents of a foreign government, specifically the Russian Federation, without prior notification to the Attorney General, as required by law, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 951.

Anna Chapman was denied bail after prosecutors called her a highly trained agent and a practised deceiver. Her next hearing is reportedly scheduled on July 27.

It is suspected that Anna Chapman exchanged information via private wireless network that would be set up with her laptop at various New York Locations including a West Village bookstore and Midtown Coffee shop. It is reported that she communicated with her handler via a secret online spy network.

Undercover agents reportedly posed as Russian officials to nab Anna Chapman. They planned to exchange a phone passport to another female agent. She was reportedly asked,

Are you ready for this step?

She replied,

Sh**, yes.

Then the undercover agent reportedly gave detailed instructions to carry out the passport exchange and told her to report back after the rendezvous.
