Cop Punches Woman: Video

Los Angeles (GaeaTimes.com) A video of a Seattle cop punching a young woman in the face during a scuffle is the hottest search at the moment among the netizens. The video was shot on a camera phone of an onlooker who started to record the video which shows Officer Ian P. Walsh trying to arrest 19 year old Marilyn Levias.
The incident started as the cop stopped a man for jaywalking. Things got worse and a crowd gathered. The video starts as two women intervene and the officer appears to be trying to arrest one of the girls for jaywalking. The incident took place on Martin Luther King Junior Way South yesterday.
According to reports, 19 year old Marilyn Levias and a 17 year old girl were in a group of four people who were jaywalking to get to their friend. Officer Walsh approached the group and attempted to gather information. Levias began walking away when the officer reportedly said,
You have jaywalked and you are required to identify yourself so that I can issue a citation, if you refuse you will be arrested for obstruction.
Levias continued to walk away and Officer Walsh walked to Levias and grabbed her arm and attempted to handcuff her. This is the time when the video starts. She is seen twisting around and pull away in an attempt to get away, as the reports said. As he was handcuffing Levias, the 17 year girl ran up behind Walsh and pushed him. Walsh threw a punch and hit the 17 year old girl, as seen in the video. The 17 year old girl was handcuffed and booked into the Youth Services Center for investigation and Levias was booked into King County jail for obstructing a police officer.
