Gymnast Shawn Johnson to testify at stalking case

LOS ANGELES — Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson is in a Los Angeles courtroom to testify against a man prosecutors say harbored a dangerous obsession to meet and marry the gold medalist.

Johnson entered through a back door Thursday at the trial of accused stalker Robert O’Ryan.

The Florida man is charged with breaking onto the studio lot where the 18-year-old Johnson was competing on “Dancing With the Stars.”

Security stopped O’Ryan last March and reported finding two loaded guns and a bulletproof vest in his car.

Ryan has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity to felony stalking and burglary charges. He could face nearly four years in prison if convicted.
