An Indian lawmaker from Bhartiya Janata Party was today booked for sexually exploiting a woman, police said today.
Police said they have registered a case against lawmaker Raj Kishore Kesari, of BJP from Bihar state, on the charge of sexually assaulting a school runner for the past three years.
“We have registered a case against the lawmaker on the basis of complaint petition of the victim”, a local senior police official NH Khan said from Purnia where the case was lodged.
In her complaint, the victim alleged she came in contact with Kesari, a lawmaker who represents Purnia in Bihar state assembly, in 2006 when she invited the legislator to inaugurate the school.
“On April 18, 2007 when he reached her residence in connection with the demand for approach road to the school, the lawmaker established sexual contact with me and went on sexually exploiting me by threatening to release her porn pictures”, the victim told the police.
“police are probing the case”, the local superintendent of police Khan said.
The lawmaker, however, has denied such charges, describing it as the conspiracy of his political adversaries when the state assembly polls approaching near.
