Saudi prince denies murdering companion in Britain
LONDON — A Saudi prince has denied murdering his traveling companion in Britain.
Saud Bin Abdulaziz Bin Nasir Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud entered his not guilty plea in court Friday.
The 32-year-old price is accused of murdering 32-year-old Bandar Abdullah Abdulaziz on February 15 at a London hotel. Authorities said the victim died of strangulation and had also suffered head injuries.
The prince, who was arrested within days of the death, was returned to custody to await trial, which was set for Oct. 4.
The prince’s grandfather is a brother of the current Saudi king, Abdullah.
