JAIPUR, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- The Supreme Court in India which had ordered a CBI inquiry by members of the Rajasthan Police Special Operations Group in the year 2006 for the Dara Singh fake encounter case, renewed its probe on this Thursday. Police officials from India’s capital Delhi assembled in Jaipur to carry on further investigations.
The latest reports claim that the local police in the Rajasthan city has submitted all documents related to the Dara Singh case to the CBI team which came from Delhi, however nobody is prepared to open their mouths yet about the steps being adopted by the CBI to solve the case. The only statement issued by the CBI enumerated that the team of officers from Delhi will start recording the statements of every person that they can lay hands upon who were involved in the case four years back in 2006 and that the CBI have met all the police officers who took part in the Dara Singh case before.
DGP Harish Chandra Meena, stationed in Jaipur is considered to be the main link between the 2006 officers and the officers who have been assigned for the Dara Singh case on Thursday. It has been reported that although the CBI officers who arrived in Jaipur on Thursday have already left for Delhi, there will be a constant connection between the police authorities of the two cities with some of the officers constantly flying from one place to another, so that a quick decision can be taken in the Dara Singh case. Thus an independent inquiry has been adopted in the Dara Singh fake encounter case.
