Green River Killer Now Behind Bars

WASHINGTON, (GaeaTimes.com)- Gary Leon Ridgway, better known as the “Green River Killer” in and around the Washington area, on account of his alleged track record of having committed the murders of several prostitutes and teenagers near the Green River area, is now behind bars and is housed at the Washington State Penitentiary in the Walla Walla region of Washington.

Police officials have reported that the “Green River Killer” used to bring several local teenage girls and prostitutes inside his vehicle to sleep with them, later killing these girls. Reports also suggest that Gary Leon Ridgway was not mentally stable. Doctor had diagnosed him with an IQ of a 82 year old man at the very small age of 16 years. It was at this age itself that the “Green River Killer” stabbed a 6 year old boy to death.

According to the latest reports submitted by the police authorities in Washington, Gary Leon Ridgway’s practice of killing women started in the 1980s itself. However the “Green River Killer” eluded the police for as long as twenty years. It has come to light that he usually strangled his victim after having sex with them. When the man had to bury their bodies, he supposedly added cigarettes and gum on the site of the burial place. The Green River Task Force was never able to lay their hands on the man until the month of November in the year 2001. Since the “Green River Killer” has accepted his guilt of having killed a minimum of 71 women in front of the police, he was pardoned from receiving the death penalty.
