BURBANK (GaeaTimes.com)- Two months after Amy Victoria Beck, the Burbank middle school teacher had walked into the police station to confess her guilt of having shared a sexual relationship with one of her school students, a California judge on Friday sentenced her to two years of jail term. Amy Victoria Beck did not throw any hue and cry but seemed dejected and mumbled only and humble “thank you” for the sentencing.

The sentence was read out by Judge Patrick J. Hegarty. Amy Victoria Beck, who was one of the popular teachers at her school and was loved dearly by many students stunned the school authority and the police with her confession last March. She said that her confession came from her guilt conscience and after her confession Amy Victoria Beck pleaded no contest. She even did not go for the $175,000 bail. Amy Victoria Beck was charged with one count of unlawful sexual encounter with a minor boy and one count for indulging in vulgar acts with a child. Amy Victoria Beck had claimed that she had entered into a relationship with the boy back in March 2009 and continued till September. Though the identity of the boy has not been disclosed, some media sources claimed that the boy had revealed to the police that Amy Victoria Beck had indulged in oral sex as well.

33-year-old Amy Victoria Beck has three children and her attorney Michael Williamson on Friday said that the teacher remains the lawfully wedded wife of a Los Angeles police officer and that the couple has no plans to separate. Michael Williamson also said that “Her husband is absolutely standing by her”.
