11 Olympic security officers ousted for misconduct
VANCOUVER, British Columbia — The task force handling security for the Winter Olympics says it has sent home 11 of its members for conduct infractions. Among them are two officers whose cases are under investigation by Vancouver police.
Staff Sgt. Michel Cote (KOH-tay) of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police declined to identify the officers or give details.
The security task force includes more than 4,000 members of the Canadian military and more than 6,000 police officers from across Canada. Cote says four military personnel and seven police officers have been sent home.
