Equipment worth Rs.70 lakh stolen from Dadri power plant

NOIDA - Electric panels worth Rs.70 lakh were stolen from the premises of the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) plant in Dadri in Greater Noida, police said Thursday.
The High Tension City Company, which is carrying the installation work of the electric panels in the 980 MW expansion unit of NTPC, lodged the theft complaint at Jarcha police station of Greater Noida.
In his complaint, company manager A.K. Panna said 70 electric panels worth Rs.70 lakh were found missing Thursday, when the inventory was prepared.
“A case has been registered and investigation is on,” Greater Noida’s Superintendent of Police Surendra Verma said.
Security at the NTPC is provided by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).
