Tony Alamo: Brides Speak Out

SAN FRANCISCO (GaeaTimes.com)- Self-proclaimed Evangelist Tony Alamo has come in news once more after 4 of his child brides have opened up their mouths regarding his practices. He was put behind bars in November last year. The four girls revealed the horrors they were subjected to in the Oprah Winfrey show. He set up the Tony Alamo Christian Ministry which has turned out to be a cult. The ministry was raided two years back on the grounds of child pornography investigation. He was slapped with child abuse and transporting minors for exploitation. Finally he landed up behind bars as 10 such counts were proved.
The girls talked about their life in the ministry in the Oprah Winfrey show. The girls were allegedly forced to get involved in to sexual relations with Tony Alamo. It is really pathetic considering the fact that they were teenagers at that time. Nikki is a girl who managed to flee the compound when she realized she was the next target. The other women also fled the ministry and they testified against him in court. He allegedly supplied children to other buyers for sexual exploitation. He used the ministry to cover up the secrets of his life.
The women who were molested and abused by Tony Alamo for long found some relief after opening up their minds in the Oprah Winfrey show. They said their childhood was destroyed because of this so called evangelist and he also destroyed the lives of several other children. His wife was also involved in running this sex racket behind the veil of religion.

One of the former ministry children turned on the Oprah show to watch. He immediately turned it off after hearing Desiree lie and say she was married to Tony at 8 years old, living in his house. He said, “How could she be living as one of Tony’s wives at 8, when she was my next door neighbor when she was 12?” |
