LOS ANGELES, (GaeaTimes.com)- A countersuit that was filed against interior designer company Trip Haenisch & Associates Inc. has been dismissed by the superior court of Los Angeles. Reportedly, the interior designer company was freed of the counter suit owing to the fact that there was no movement with the complaint for a long time after the opposition’s attorney for the case had left. The countersuit against the interior designer company was filed by Joe Francis who happens to the creator of “Girls Gone Wild”.
Judge Daniel Buckley had been presiding over the case who told the media that at the very first instance he was determined to dismiss the allegations placed by Joe Francis but he gave him some time so that he would eventually withdraw the counter suit. It was way back in the month of November in the last year that Joe Francis had countersued the interior designer company Trip Haenisch & Associates Inc filing a complaint for fraud. This countersuit follows the original lawsuit that was filed against video maker Joe Francis by the interior designer in the month of April 2009. The lawsuit read that there has been a oral contract breach which was accompanied by claims of defamation and emotional distress.
The interior designer claimed that Joe Francis had promised to pay him a total sum of $285,000 for the furniture and other stuffs which the interior designer had used to decorate the video maker’s Bel Air home. After the completion of the job, the video maker refused to pay him the money that was promised. The final trial for the interior designer’s case is scheduled for hearing on July 14.
