Uttar Pradesh Police Takes Down Dacoits

LUCKNOW, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Uttar Pradesh Police witnessed a stiff encounter with two dacoits of the Chitrakoor district who were killed in a bloody encounter on Monday May 17. Reportedly, the Uttar Pradesh Police was following a trail on the two dacoits who were reported to have plundered a huge wealth through a number of heists.

Uttar Pradesh Police took down Raja Khan a.k.a Om Prakash along with Rahul Tiwari a.k.a Guru. Both the dacoits were killed by the Uttar Pradesh Police Special Task Force who went ahead in the forests of Dodamafi which is located at a distance of 275 kms from Lucknow. Following the death of the dacoits, Brij Lal who happens to be the Additional Director General of Uttar Pradesh Police was flanked by the media. The Additional Director said that the special task force of Uttar Pradesh Police have found a 303 police rifle along with a DBBL gun from the two dacoits. Earlier the Madhya Pradesh Police and the Uttar Pradesh Police had declared a reward of Rs. 60,000 and Rs. 22,000 upon Raja Khan and Rahul Tiwari. There were 15 pending cases against Raja Khan while Rahul Tiwari had 12 cases that were filed against him.

The Superintendent of Uttar Pradesh Police Tehsilder Singh told the media that both the dacoits were 30 years old and their chief area of operation were the vast stretches in the state of Madhya Pradesh and the surrounding border line areas. It was also said that the Uttar Pradesh Police is now looking out for the associates of the dacoits who managed to give a slip to the cops while they were engaged in the encounter.
