Gadchiroli Police Takes Steps

GADCHIROLI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- The Gadchiroli district of Maharastra has come under the purview of law enforcement officials after a reports released by the Intelligence Bureau revealed that Naxals are targeting the district to carry out a massive attack. As per the report issued by the Intelligence Bureau, as many as 60 per cent of the Naxal cadres are supposedly concentrating on the Gadchiroli district as well as southern regions of Chhattisgarh at present in order make their vicious plan successful.
The Intelligence Bureau officials has further stated that most parts of the national highways in the region have been heavily mined by the Naxals although the roads have been heavily metaled. The manner in which the bombs have been planted take into account the possibility that it can be triggered off even if it has been planted several months earlier. In the wake of the recent report of the attack by the Naxals, the Gadchiroli police have swung into action to take all the necessary actions so that any untoward incident can be avoided.
Meanwhile, revelation of the report comes on the heels of an attack by the rebels which claimed the lives of a number of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel in the Bijapur district of Chattisgarh in a landmine blast. It has being speculated by many observers, the attack that is being planned by the Naxals in Gadchiroli district is going to be among their most extensive attacks as it was sketched before the massacre in the Dantewada, Chhattisgarh which resulted in the death of 74 paramilitary officers. As of now, the Gadchiroli police are gearing up to prevent any possible attack by the Naxals.
