Madhuri Gupta Arrested For Espionage

NEW DELHI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Madhuri Gupta who happens to be a senior second level secretary working for the Indian High Commission based in Islamabad has been taken under custody. Reportedly, Madhuri Gupta was leaking out confidential information to Pakistan from the Indian High Command’s office. Madhuri Gupta is an IFS (Indian Foreign Services) Group B officer who has been working with the Indian High Command Press Wing for quite some time now. However, the charges imposed upon her are yet to be proved as her case goes for the final trial in the court. G K Pillai who happens to be the Home secretary to the state told the media that Madhuri Gupta was passing some confidential information meant only for state to the Pakistani Intel.

The Home Secretary also said that quite a few Pakistani spy agencies are said to have been involved with Madhuri Gupta in this process. The Ministry of External Affairs also reported that there shall be an external file being handed over which shall carry all the details about Madhuri Gupta. In due course of the investigation, Madhuri Gupta being an Urdu interpreter has actually gone ahead to confess her crime before the investigating officials.

Madhuri Gupta was presented before the East Delhi high court which has issued strict orders to the police to keep Madhuri Gupta under their custody for ten days. The investigating officials reported that Madhuri Gupta has been a part of the spy mission of Pakistan for over two years.
