PUNE, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- The Pune police are still investigating the case involving the twin murders which took place in the Karvenagar locality of Pune last Saturday. Cops are still searching for a group of young people who used to assemble at a construction site everyday to drink liquor. It has been reported that since this construction site is very close to the house of the Patkis, where the murders had taken place on Saturday, the young boys may be linked to the killings in some way.

The Pune police launched a probe today where they asked the neighbors of the Patkis about any unknown person entering or leaving the Patki house at and around 12 o’clock on Saturday. However this did not lead to any clue as to who may have been involved in the murders. The drivers and housemaids working for the Patkis have also been questioned, according to reports.

The Pune police reported last Saturday that some unidentified people had entered the house of the Patki family and had left the house with a mobile phone and all the gold that they could lay their hands upon, only after putting to death Smita Patki, 52 and her sister-in-law, Sulabha aged 58.

The Pune police has so far made use of four teams which have been created exclusively to look into the case. Residents of the nearby Raghukul Society and Girija Shankar Vihar Society have also been questioned in relation to the double murders. Prabhakar Patki, whose wife and sister have been killed, was in Mumbai when the incident took place. Pune police have reported that the intention behind the murders is still not known.
