Carl Williams Dead

MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA (GaeaTimes.com)- The gangland leader Carl Williams who was convicted of several murder charges has died in the south Melbourne’s Barwon prison. According to reports, Carl Williams was allegedly struck on head during an altercation inside the prison. His death occurred due to the serious head injury and the cardiac arrest which followed it, on Monday. The altercation took place at around 12:50 PM (AEDT) on Monday. Though the exact reasons which lead to the altercation is still not known, reports claim that a person has been interrogated regarding the death and has been kept under custody.
Carl Williams‘ lawyer Rob Stary had mentioned that he had spoke to his client on Monday morning at around 9 AM (AEST) on Monday. He mentioned to the media that the deceased was worried about the article in a newspaper that mentioned that the Victoria Police has paid $8000 for his daughter’s education in a top private school. Rob Stary asserted in front of the media that Carl Williams was kept under 24 hours supervision. He was kept in solitary confinement in the most secure part of the prison and was only allowed to mix with other prisoners during exercise. The inmates of the prison share the exercise room. Rob Stary also added that he does not know the circumstances which lead to the death of his client.
Carl Williams was serving the 35 years non-parole life imprisonment sentence in the jail. He was convicted for the murder of many other criminals during Melbourne’s underworld war. Carl Williams had killed Lewis Moran, Jason Moran, Mark Mallia, and Michael Marshall. He had also conspired to kill lawyer Mario Condello.
