Uttar Pradesh Police Search For Bomb Planter

MAHOBA, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- The Anti-Terrorist squad of The Uttar Pradesh police is on a look-out for the criminals who have planted the explosive device in the Sampark Kranti Express train on Wednesday night at Mahoba Railway station. Brij Lal, the ADG of law and Order has mentioned that the Anti-terrorist squad of the Uttar Pradesh police will dig into the matter and find out the criminals who had planted the bomb. Though the police was able to recover the explosive device on time and was able to defuse it, no arrest related to the crime has yet been made reportedly. However, the ATS of Uttar Pradesh police is trying hard to get hold of the criminal. Investigation over the matter is still on.

The explosive device was found in the toilet of one of the sleeper coaches of the Delhi-bound Manikpur-Hazrat Nizamuddin Express. On Wednesday night alarm was raised by the passenger when they found the bomb in the coach toilet. However, the Uttar Pradesh police along with the bomb disposal squad arrived at the scene and took control of the situation.

The bomb disposal squad experts destroyed the bomb by a controlled blast which was carried out after the bomb was put inside a detonating kit. According to reports, the bomb disposal squad has said that the bomb could have created havoc as it contained the power of around a couple of Dynamites that are in general put to use in mines. However, it was reported that the bomb disposal squad took several hours to reach the station. The Uttar Pradesh police have according to reports, launched a search in Mahoba, Manikpur, Karvi and Banda.
