Hutaree Targeted By FBI

MICHIGAN (GaeaTimes.com)- Hutaree, a Christian militia group was raided by Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). According to reports, FBI agents on Sunday, Mar 28 raided places in Michigan, Indiana and Ohio, of which one was this Christian militia group. Michael Lackomar, the spokesperson of another militia group named Southeast Michigan Volunteer Militia (SMVM), reportedly said that one of its team leaders got phone calls from Hutaree stating that it was being attacked by ATF and needed place to hide, which was however, denied to them by the team leader.
Michael Lackomar reportedly said that Hutaree is not affiliated to the Southeast Michigan Volunteer Militia (SMVM). However, the spokesperson mentioned that some people from Hutaree have attended two sessions of SMVM training in the past.
Hutaree has in its website posted quotes from Bible claiming that Christ wanted his followers to be ready for a final combat with the Anti Christ with swords and other weapons. According to some other Volunteer militia, Hutaree’s philosophy is extreme, which differentiates it from other organizations. Lenaway Volunteer Michigan Militia coordinator Jim Gulliksen, has reportedly revealed that to the best of his knowledge, a member of the group was arrested by the FBI a few months ago in connection with weapon charges.
Hutaree is a conservative Christian Militia Group, which according to sources is under attack after the recent health care bill overhaul. However, according to sources, the FBI has raided Hutaree after the latter had allegedly threatened some of the Islamic groups. FBI also raided Hutaree on Saturday, after one of the organization’s leader died. The leader had reportedly died of natural causes.
