PUNE, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- In a major security breach that has created Sensation in the political circles and media in India, a bomb blast incident in Pune has claimed the lives of 8 people and left 40 injured, as per the latest news. The bomb blast took place in the German bakery situated in Koregaon Park of Pune. It is near the Osho ashram. The cops had initially said that the blast was a case of gas cylinder explosion. However, later it was concluded that the fatal blast was triggered by an IED and it was quite powerful in nature.
The Pune bomb blast was caused by an explosive having RDX and ammonium nitrate as content. It is being assumed that 7 kg of explosive were used by the miscreants. The magnitude of the blast charred the bodies of the victims beyond recognition, which posed somewhat of a hazard for the authorities. Ashok Chavan, the Maharashtra chief minister has expressed his grave concern over the incident and an inquiry has been ordered. Due to the explosion, 4 shops close to the bakery got severely damaged. The latest news is that after the blast, an unidentified bag was seen in an auto rickshaw.
The Pune Bomb blast news updates indicate that the bomb was placed below a table. Reportedly a waiter attempted to open the bag which led to the massive explosion. The ATS has reached Pune to look into the matter. The residents of Pune are naturally shocked at this development. The security at the city has been stepped up after the blast.
