Kearney Hub Update On Hostage Drama

KEARNEY, NEBRASKA (GaeaTimes.com)- A man created tension and made people panic in a Wells Fargo Bank in Kearney, Nebraska today. He kept the customers at the bank as hostages for nearly two hours as Kearney Hub newspaper has reported. The description of the event can be found in the website of the Kearney Hub newspaper. A Wells Fargo bank spokesperson affirmed the incident and also added that police is looking into the case. However, the bank authorities have not divulged further details on the incident.

The Kearney Hub reported that the man came out of the bank without the shotgun that he was equipped with earlier. The police force was waiting for him and he was arrested immediately. There were 40 employees along with the customers at the bank when the incident took place. They managed to give the man a slip and escaped by means of a side door. When the cops got to know about the incident, they took adequate steps to prevent any accident or mishap. The roads leading to the bank were blocked and snipers were placed at adjacent buildings.

Apart from the Kearney Hub, Television station KHAS-TV also reported the incident. According to the sources, the man was arrested at 1.30 p.m. The website of the newspaper has a picture that shows the man coming out with his hands uplifted. It was found later that the man was a former employee of NTV who was sacked recently. The hostage drama did not leave anyone injured and the cops acted with caution.
