JAKARTA, INDONESIA (GaeaTimes.com)- The recent reports about a prison in Jakarta, Indonesia has been quite shocking. The reports revealed that some of the inmates in the women’s jail receive special treatment by offering money. Though the incidents were taking place for a considerable period of time, it was revealed when President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono went there for a surprise visit. A local television, which had televised the video of the jail showed that some of the prison inmates, who were sentenced for several criminal offense have been living a life of luxury and comfort. The video provided the details of the comfortable life of the prisoners.
The detail report of the Indonesia prison showed that the wealthy prisoners, who were accustomed to a life of luxury before moving behind the bars have been offered all sorts of comfort in this jail. They take rest in king-sized beds and refresh themselves by watching programs on the flat-screen television.
The video, which focused on a businesswoman named Artalyta Suryani, who is serving five years sentence in this prison of Indonesia showed that she has been offered a luxury living quarter in the jail. It has been reported that she is serving jail for bribing an attorney to drop a case. The video details indicate that she is not only having a separate place to live but also she has a private bathroom. The lady has also paid for a karaoke suite so that she can live comfortably. The details also state that she receives different beauty treatments in the jail and has appointed maids to serve her.
