Woman injured in Varanasi blast dies

VARANASI - A woman pilgrim from Madhya Pradesh Saturday succumbed to injuries sustained in the Dec 7 Varanasi terror blast, making her the second casualty in the incident, police said.

The woman, said to be in her 40s, was undergoing treatment at Banaras Hindu University hospital. “She died Saturday morning,” Inspector Geneal, Varanasi, R.P. Singh, told IANS.

Earlier a toddler, Swastika Sharma, was killed in the terror blast in the pilgrim town of Varanasi.
