LONDON - Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden is on facebook, which shows his address as “mountains of the world”. He is using the social networking site to show videos and speeches to militants, a media report said Friday.

With a multi-million dollar reward for his capture, the elusive Al Qaeda chief is believed to be hiding in the mountains lying on the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

The Sun reported that Bin Laden was using Facebook as a platform to show videos and speeches to Islamic militants.

Facebook’s US owners have been urged by security experts to shut down the profile page, called “The leader of the Mujahideen, Osama bin Laden”.

“Bin Laden, via his supporters, is clearly taunting his pursuers,” internet terror expert Neil Doyle was quoted as saying.

An investigation carried out by The Sun showed that the page became active less than a month ago and had attracted nearly 1,000 people.

Initially, the language was Arabic and messages in English have now started to appear.
